Cedar Cone

Siberian cedar cone.
«How to plant» instruction.
Unhusk the cone.
Put the seeds (nuts) into room temperature water for 2–3 days.
Do not use the nuts that do not sink in the water. As a rule, they are empty and not suitable for planting.
Mix the nuts with calcined sand using 1 part of the seedlings per 3 parts of the sand.

Keep the seedlings in a cold temperature. For this purpose keep the nuts in the temperature of 0–1 degrees Celsius for 4 months. Admission of air is necessary.

Plant the seeds in the prepared ground mixture (lightly drained and sandy loam, avoid heavy sand and soil) by pushing the seeds with the help of a larding pin with the sharp part of the nut 3–6 centimetres deep in the ground.

The first young grown cedars will be seen in 15–20 days.
